Steffen Geisler lives in dreams. He loves the dark arts; the arising out of the subconscious. And he portrays this in grandiose, stage-like installations. Here the onlooker is
drawn in, yes even encouraged to enter the work of art and experience it.
His art is extraordinary, full of ideas and mystical. Moments of isolation, frigidity, doubt, a longing for human company and conflict pass through his mind in fantasies that he
portrays in ever-new ways and also in many drawings. He works with all materials - paper, wood, cardboard, plastic, film, bottles, bags and tape.
